Q: I’m curious? Do you use “assessments?”

     A: Bridges For Education is proud to be using the Highlands Ability Battery and the I Start Strong assessment from CPP.

 


 

Q: How long does the entire process take?

     A: Each meeting – usually across 5 gatherings, usually last three and a half hours. The total time is dependent on how many modules are required to flesh out the picture. You can plan on spending approximately 20 hours total from beginning to end on average.

 


 

Q: What has been the youngest student you’ve served?

     A: We work with students 16 years of age and older. Typically, that’s a junior in high school.

 


 

Q: What is the oldest student you’ve served?

     A: There is no “top end” age. Anyone that’s interested in revisiting where and what they’d like to be doing for a career is welcome at Bridges for Education.

 


 

Q: Am I wasting my money on school/college?

     A: What do you have planned for your time “in school?”Are you going “just because?” Then yes – you are probably wasting your money, time and effort. If you’re going to school to use use it as a tool, and stair step to something more as you learn the skills and knowledge to launch your career, then you are without a doubt on your way to success!

 


 

Q: Why are today’s guidance counselors so “out of touch?”

     A: While we can’t speak for all guidance counselors, many of them are in touch, but very often they are not given the time, resources and incentive to do anything to help students effectively identify their future path.

 


 

Q: What is the best school to go to today?

     A: What is the best breakfast cereal? Which gas station gives you the best gas? For every person that crosses the Bridges for Education, there is an answer to this question. What you have to ask yourself is: Is it going to be Frosted Flakes and Shell, or Golden Grahams and Quik Trip? Regardless of your choice, you’ll get the fuel – both nutritional, and literal, to get where you’re going, along with the guidance needed for your career-based success from Bridges for Education.

 


 

Q: What does all of this cost?

     A: Just as there are many different paths that can be taken, cost is something that varies as well. We look forward to having a detailed conversation where you share your goals, dreams, skill sets and more to help Bridges for Education determine what’s needed when it comes to the tools to begin your ascension to success.

 


 

Q: Do I have to include my parents in the process?

     A: If you are 16 or 17, and your parents are paying for the service, then yes – they must be included. If you’re paying your own way, it’s completely up to you but – understand: The value of the process, the learning and the communication is what makes the best path for success.

 


 

Q: How long has Kevin been doing “this?”

     A: Kevin initiated Bridges for Education in the Summer of 2012.

 


 

Q: Does Bridges for Education take on students from private schools?

     A: Students from all schools are always welcome inside the programs offered by Bridges for Education.

 


 

Q: I dropped out of high school. Can I participate in the Bridges for Education program?

     A: We are always interested in helping those looking for a path that will foster a future career. Those looking for something “less traditional”, perhaps in the trades – were eager to get you there as we help to identify the strengths, and interests that will allow your begin your focus on a career path.

 


 

Q: I have been out of school for a long time. Can I still participate?

     A: Anyone that is looking to identify a new direction in their career can benefit from the programs featured at Bridges for Education.

 


 

Q: I am a veteran returning from active duty. Can you help me?

     A: First and foremost, thank you for your service to our country. Secondly, we most certainly can help you put together an education and career path strategy that will utilize your unique learned skill sets. Also note: there is special pricing for those who are veterans.
