Your call with my daughter has helped already. She went to the head of the Math department, spoke to him about next year, and the fact that when she transferred (from a junior college) and didn’t get credit for a Linear Algebra course she took prior. He saw her transcripts, looked them up, and told her, “I’m the head of Math Department and I’ll fix it. Just email me this conversation with your info and I’ll get it done.” Yay!!!! She will return to him for recommendations for the 4 math courses she has remaining, etc. and will speak with him about graduate work. Double YAY!! Your call gave her confidence and initiative to do this. NOW, you know, it is ALL her idea, etc. But, us grownups see the bigger picture. Hahahahha.

As a young professional struggling to find my niche in the professional world, the tools and evaluations provided by Bridges for Education have been invaluable in getting my career on track. The Highlands Ability Battery in of itself was insightful regarding my personal strengths, but the analysis Kevin provided gave an understanding of my abilities that I would never have seen on my own. He was able to show how my abilities manifest both positively and negatively, which can directly affect my success personally and professionally. Then using the iStartStrong assessment, he was able to show how to align my abilities with my general interests to find my most successful and rewarding career paths. In addition, the program gave me access to online resources that helped me look at these paths and compare important factors, like hiring trends or average salary, so that I could truly assess my options and then confidently take my career forward.

I truly wish I had taken these assessments and had been given this educated guidance back when I was looking for colleges and majors. The advice I was given was that my degree didn’t matter, because employers would provide training, and the more education you get the more money you will make. The truth is, higher education leaves you with a job as a waitress, a lot of debt, and more importantly a lot anger and frustration unless you have a guided path and strong set of career goals. With so many options and so much competition in every field, Bridges for Education was worth every penny to provide focus in my career so that I can finally feel confident that I can achieve the success I was promised with every dollar I spent on my education.

I was 20 years old when I went through Kevin’s workshop. WOW! I was enrolled at Maryville University with two large dreams: become a life coach as well as a personal trainer. At that point I was personal training, but my long term visions weren’t too clear. Going into the workshop – I’ll be honest – sort of dreaded it. TWO WHOLE WEEKENDS?! I also thought it would be just like the standardized tests in high school. I was wrong.

The first day we spent taking tests, but they were actually really fun! I’m weird and really competitive, so the timing questions kept me on my toes. Afterwards, Kevin provided me, step-by-step, a new way to understand my personality type, why I react the way I do, and how to more-effectively communicate with others. I also now understand goal planning that effects how I look at life. Who would have thought that so many careers would be available?

Not only does Kevin make the learning experience fun, he includes lots of information to have you fully equipped with knowledge when you are done. Once you get your results, he also teaches in a way that proves beneficial for everyone-he’s accommodating! I highly recommend Kevin to anyone who needs help with functionality in relationships, purpose, and understanding. Thanks, Kevin!
